What is Ethereum

Ethereum is more of a platform than a cryptocurrency, a programable blockchain if you will. It's a decentralized public ledger as well that verifies and records transactions. An open source platform where other developers can build on. The network's users can create, publish, monetize, and use applications on the platform. It uses Ether cryptocurrency as payment that's safe from fraud, theft, or censorship.
